Crystal Ball sculpture at Realfagbygget. NTNU, Trondheim, Norway
I don't know if this is more of an embellishment, or of an experiment. The ball focuses sun rays at the curved metal plate, where they leave visible traces, sometimes burning holes through the plate. There is a matrix of twelve such plates hung on the wall inside the building. Each of these plates have been, is being, or will be a part of the sculpture for one year. You'd better ask Professor Ola Hunderi at the Physics Department what all this means.
